The April Sun Rising Over A Cloud Cloaked Roanoke Va.

This picture is one of thousands of pictures that I have taken from spots around the Roanoke Valley.

Most like this one, "Rising in the Clouds," have been snapped from our deck. I regularly post pictures both on Picasa and Flickr if you are interested in something besides Roanoke sunrises.

Our mountain house sits at about 1,500 feet above sea level and looks down on the valley.

We have a wonderful view of downtown Roanoke, the Roanoke Star, the Peaks of Otter, Tinker Mountain, and much of Salem.

Getting a sunrise like the one above only requires meto rollout of bed and grabg a camera. That convenience is tempered by limited photographic opportunities from out deck. Our new second home near the beaches of Emerald Isle offers many different sunset opportunities.

I am rarely without a camera so I also have collected favorite images of many of the places that I visit.

Until 2008 I sold my prints. These days I will supply the digital images whenever someone asks nicely.

I also have a print or two still for sale at the Tidewater Gallery in Swansboro, NC

These days I am focusing on beach prints like "Morning Waters" or "The End."

If you see an image that you like, drop me a note explaining how you want to use the image.

Assuming I can find the original and your use makes sense to me, I will be glad to forward it to you for that purpose.

I am a little more focused on the coast than the mountains these days.

While the Crystal Coast is usually where I can be found, I spend considerable time in the mountains of Virginia. I still enjoy catching the leaves in Roanoke at their fall peak, enjoying the spring flowers, or even seeing a touch of winter snow.

I can also be contacted by email. Our you can visit my main Crystal Coast Life website.
